Jamie's 2019 Holiday Gift Guide

Jamie's 2019 Holiday Gift Guide

I haven’t even begun shopping and it’s December 4th. I’m one of those people who waits until the last minute then panics and stays up until 3 in the morning online shopping and then stressing that things won’t get here in time. I’ve never done family Christmas… only Hannukah. And now that we are all adults, we typically do one night of dinner where we all exchange gifts and celebrate the holiday. This is my first holiday with a child that is actually a human. Last year he was 3 months old and too young to even know who I was. Even though my son is only 15 months old, I’ve stressed the importance to my husband about creating a holiday environment in our house and that I want to do the candles for the 8 days of hannukah, spin dreidels, eat potato latkes and open a little gift every night. I ALSO want Yale (my son) to wake up Christmas morning (yes, I know, we are jewish) to a tree with cookies and milk and tons of presents underneath. I realize I’m setting myself up for a really taxing December month for all December’s for the rest of my life (at least until my children leave the house and decide they no longer want to partake). BUT I am determined to create a yearly tradition that will make December not only stressful and exhausting and probably really expensive but also heartwarming and a time filled with joy and happiness where no one ever wants to leave the house! So… here it goes … wish me luck. Here are some of the things I’m thinking about getting for the people I love. Who knows - maybe this list will inspire me to get it done sooner than December 22nd! HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Nurse Jamie Beauty Bear Age Delay Pillow ($79)
My husband and I fight over this every night. I think I’ll get him one for Christmas. It’s a memory foam pillow that is supposed to treat wrinkles while you sleep. It’s soft and shaped in a way where it’s insanely comfortable. It’s also great for travel!

Joanna Czech facial massager ($189)
At Violet Grey, they told me I’d get poreless skin and chiseled cheekbones and I was instantly sold. It is a tool that helps with depuffing and lifting and is very easy to use. I keep mine next to my bed and use it whenever I have a minute… mornings.. nights.. when I can’t sleep! I swear it works!
